Difference in Statistics for Own and Other Accounts
In this article, you will learn what data will be available for your own accounts and what data will be available for competitors' accounts.
You can add both your own accounts and others to the Dashboard, for example, competitors' accounts. Adding your own accounts is done through social media authorization (without the need to enter a login and password) - this is the official and safest method of connection. We only work with social media through official APIs.
If a service asks you for a social media account login and password, it is operating in a gray area and cannot ensure the security of your account. To understand why using gray services is dangerous and what the consequences might be, we recommend reading here.
To add someone else's account for tracking in LiveDune, you just need to insert the account link. The statistics available for other people's accounts will be less than for your own. For example, with a competitor's Instagram account, you cannot see reach and audience. These limitations are due to social media privacy policies.
Differences in statistics between your own and others' accounts are presented below:
Instagram:
VKontakte
YouTube
Telegram
For Telegram, statistics are the same for both other people's and your own accounts. All Telegram channels are added to the Dashboard as others.
There is no reach and ERR data for Telegram in general. Telegram does not share reach data, and ERR is calculated from reach.
Linkedin and Tik-Tok
At the moment, Linkedin and Tik-Tok accounts can only be added as your own. It is not possible to add other people's accounts and view statistics for them.
