How to Add Telegram to Autoposting

Adding Telegram to Autoposting is done differently from other social networks. For other social networks, it is sufficient to add the account to the Dashboard, and the account will automatically appear in the Autoposting module. However, with Telegram, the process is somewhat different.

  • Autoposting works only for public channels

  • The connection is made through the official bot in Telegram

Step 1. Create a Bot

  • Go to the bot via the link @BotFather or find the bot @BotFather in the Telegram search. Start a conversation with the bot with the command /start:

  • Send the command /newbot to start creating your bot

  • @Botfather will ask you to come up with a name and username for your bot. The username can be any but must end with bot. We advise making the name and username the same.

  • Then @BotFather will send you a token. This token is necessary to add Telegram to the Autoposting module.

The token is the access key to connect the bot with the service.

Important! This bot should only be used to connect to one service

to avoid incompatibility and other errors in operation.

1 bot - 1 service

Step 2. Add the Bot as Admin

  • Go to the Telegram channel settings by clicking on the channel's avatar in the top right corner or the 3 dots in the web version.

  • Go to the Administrators section and add the bot as an admin of the channel using the “Add Administrator” button

  • Grant all permissions to the bot as shown in the screenshot below

Important! Do not remove the bot from the admins,

otherwise the connection with the channel will be lost.

Step 3. Connect in Autoposting

  • Go back to Autoposting and click on the account selection list, then click on the Select Accounts button:

  • Then click on Add Account and select the Telegram icon

Even if Telegram is already added to the Dashboard, you still need to click on Add Account in the Autoposting module,

because this is where the account is added with extended functionalities.

  • On the next step, paste the channel link and the token, then click Connect:

Done! Telegram is ready for Autoposting!
