Limitations in Autoposting

LiveDune works with social networks exclusively officially, through the official APIs of social networks.

Unfortunately, some features are still unavailable in the API, which is why we cannot add them to LiveDune.

Depending on the social network, there are various limitations and file requirements for posting.

Up to 10 media files can be uploaded for one post (except LinkedIn — no more than 9 and Twitter — no more than 4).
On Facebook* and LinkedIn, you can either post a video or images in one post; other social networks do not have such restrictions.

Instagram

For Creator accounts, Auto-Posting Stories is currently unavailable on Instagram. As soon as this feature is available in the official Instagram API for Creators, we will implement it immediately.

Available for posting: posts, reels, and stories.

You can post no more than 50 publications (posts, Stories, and Reels) in the account via the API within 24 hours. When the limit is reached, you can continue posting through the mobile app.
Text-only posts cannot be published as the social network itself is crafted in a way that requires media content.
Up to 10 media files can be uploaded for one publication.
The text limit for posts and Reels is 2,200 characters, with up to 30 hashtags.
The first comment can be added (Posts).
Location is available (Posts and Reels).
Users can be mentioned in the post text using @.
Reels can be posted in the feed.

Media Requirements for Instagram Posts

Photos:

Format: JPEG
Maximum image size: 8 MB
Minimum aspect ratio 4/5, maximum — 16/9

Videos:

Format: MOV or MP4
Duration: 3 to 60 seconds
File size: up to 100 MB
The aspect ratio for Instagram videos should range from 4:5 to 16:9.
Video width and height no more than 1920 px.
Audio codec: AAC, sample rate up to 48 kHz, one or two channels (mono or stereo).
Video codec: HEVC or H264, progressive scan, closed GOP, color subsampling 4:2:0.
Frame rate: 23–60 fps
Video bitrate: variable, no more than 25 Mbps.
Audio bitrate: 128 Kbps

Media Requirements for Instagram Stories

Photos

Format: JPEG
Size: up to 8 MB
Aspect ratio: recommended 9:16, another ratio will have borders added by IG

Videos:

Format: MOV, MP4
Aspect ratio: recommended 9:16
Duration: 3-60 seconds
File size: up to 100 MB
Video width and height no more than 1920 px.
Audio codec: AAC, sample rate up to 48 kHz, one or two channels (mono or stereo).
Video codec: HEVC or H264, progressive scan, closed GOP, color subsampling 4:2:0.
Frame rate: 23–60 fps
Video bitrate: variable, no more than 25 Mbps.
Audio bitrate: 128 Kbps

Media Requirements for Instagram Reels

Video format: MOV, MP4
File size: up to 200 MB.
Video width no more than 1080 px.
Video height no more than 1920 px
Duration: from 3 seconds to 15 minutes.
Audio codec: AAC, sample rate up to 48 kHz, one or two channels (mono or stereo).
Video codec: HEVC or H264, progressive scan, closed GOP, color subsampling 4:2:0.
Frame rate: 23–60 fps
Video bitrate: variable, no more than 25 Mbps.
Audio bitrate strictly 128 Kbps

Cover:

Format: JPEG
Maximum image size: 8 MB, 4096 x 4096 px
Aspect ratio: from 0.01:1 to 10:1

VKontakte

Available for posting: posts with photos and videos, stories

Auto-posting Clips is currently unavailable in the official VK API.

Up to 10 media files can be uploaded for one publication.
The first comment, poll, snippet can be added (Posts).
Cyrillic links cannot be published in snippets.

Media Requirements for VK Stories

Number of files: 1
Formats: JPG, GIF, MP4
Video duration up to 15 seconds
Recommended size: 1080 x 1920 px
Vertical photo format: 720 × 1280 pixels
The sum of height and width not more than 14,000 pixels
Maximum video resolution: 720×1280 px. 30 fps.

Odnoklassniki

Available for posting: posts with photos and videos.

Moments (stories in OK) cannot be planned yet as they are not available in the official Odnoklassniki API.

Available for posting: posts with text, photos, videos, gifs, and adding links.

Limits on the number of characters — 4,096, if the post contains attachments — 1,024;

If there is an attachment and the number of characters exceeds 1,024, you will see the following notification:

The number of attachments — no more than 10 in one post;

Video size — up to 45 MB and no longer than 1 minute.

It is possible to post a poll without text and media. It is possible to post a snippet without text and media.

Facebook

In one post, you can either post a video or images.
The first comment can be added.
A snippet can be added.

For Facebook posts, you can publish in one post a photo/video + text or a snippet + text without a photo or video.

It is not possible to publish a snippet and a media file in one post.

You can upload:

photos up to 9 pcs, up to 5 MB
videos up to 200 MB.
text up to 3000 characters
it is possible to publish either a photo or a video (if it is a video, then only one)

TikTok

Post requirements:

Format: MP4, WebM, MOV
Size: up to 200 MB
Video length: maximum 3 minutes
Resolution: from 360px by 360px to 4096px by 4096px
Video description length: maximum 150 characters

Autoposting is available for all account types: business, creators, personal, public/private.
