Influencer Check

The Influencer Check module allows you to verify Instagram accounts for fake likes, comments, and followers.

You can purchase checks separately or get them with a subscription plan. If you have a Business or Agency plan, the number of checks you will receive can be calculated using the formula:

  • For Business Plan: number of accounts on the plan * 10 * number of months paid for the plan.

  • For Agency Plan: number of accounts on the plan (fixed at 300 accounts) * number of months paid for the plan.

For example, if you purchase a Business plan for 5 accounts for six months, then 5 multiplied by 10 and then by 6 months equals 300 checks you will have until the end of the payment period. These checks will expire once the six months for which the payment was made have passed. For instance, if funds were received on 01.01.2022, the checks will expire on 01.07.2022.

If you have a Blogger plan, you can purchase checks separately from the plan. These checks do not expire and have no validity period:

Additionally, during the trial period, you can get 3 free checks by adding your Instagram account to the Dashboard as your own.

After receiving/purchasing checks, you will see that this section contains:

  • A search bar to enter the nickname (in the format @name) or link to the Instagram account.

  • Adding accounts for bulk checks.

  • The number of remaining and used checks.

To add a list of accounts for checking, click the Add list button:

After adding an account for verification, it will appear in the list below and a window will appear indicating the use of a check:

After collecting statistics, to open the report click on the account name that you added for checking (click on the avatar – transition to the social network).

The first block of the report displays summary data on the account:

  • number of followers on the verification date,

  • average number of likes,

  • average number of comments,

  • ER (account engagement rate).

  • Button More statistics - leads to a summary in a new tab

  • Button Refresh - clicking will update the statistics (it will appear if more than a week has passed since the last data collection)

The data on likes, comments, and ER is calculated based on the last 20 posts by the median*

*The median is all the numbers arranged in ascending order and the exact middle value is the average.

In the Audience Engagement block, there are 3 circles displayed:

  • ER - the ratio of the average number of likes and comments in the last 20 posts to the number of followers. The service compares the ER of the analyzed account with the average ER of similar accounts by the number of followers. If the difference is significant ― you should be cautious; perhaps the account has poor content or bought followers.

  • Like to comment ratio - the average number of likes per post is divided by the average number of comments compared to other similar accounts,

  • Post like variability - shows the difference in the number of likes on posts. It is counted like this: The last 20 posts are taken, the average number of likes is calculated, the percentage difference from the average value is calculated, and then the average percentage deviation is calculated.
Anything less than 10% is poor. If the average number of likes on all posts is the same, it is suspicious. Most likely, a fixed package of likes, for example, 300 per post, was bought.

If they are red, it means that the indicators in the account for these metrics are significantly lower compared to other accounts (with the same number of followers). Yellow – low, but not critical. And green – all is good.

Below are conclusions based on comparing this account's data with accounts having the same number of followers. When hovering over questions, you can see hints:

If the account owner has hidden their likes on Instagram, then they will not appear in the statistics, showing zeros. Likes are hidden if the post says Liked by livedune and 353 others, but says: Liked by livedune and others - the number of likes is hidden.

In the Reactions block, account indicators are compared by months:

  • Number of followers

  • Number of posts

  • Number of likes

  • Number of comments

  • Engagement rate (ER)

  • If the parameter change compared to the previous month was positive, the number in the cell is colored green.

  • If negative, it is colored red.

If the parameter change compared to the previous month was positive, the number in the cell is colored green. If negative, it is colored red.

Usually, at this stage, some influencers are filtered out due to obviously poor audience activity in the account. But this does not mean that those who remain do not fake activity, and you can purchase advertising. Influencers are not interested in being quickly exposed and have learned to fake activity carefully. And here is where the real detective work begins - using statistics and diligence to identify such dishonest influencers.

The Like Accumulation Dynamics block contains a graph with the dynamics of like accumulation on all posts in the account since the account was added for monitoring; dynamics are collected hourly after a post is published in the account:

  • If the block is empty, you need to wait for the influencer to post a few more publications so we can collect statistics.

  • The gray line shows the averaged dynamics of several thousand posts published at the same time. That is, how likes should be collected in an account without fakes.

  • The blue line shows how likes were collected in the analyzed account.

Follower Dynamics - shows the dynamics of the number of followers in the account.

The Top Posts by Likes/Comments block shows the top posts in the account for all time. Excluding likes received from advertising.

  • Top posts by likes - these are the top posts in the account for all time, excluding likes received from advertising.

  • Top posts by comments - these are the top posts in the account for all time, excluding likes received from advertising.

The View all statistics button redirects you to the overall account statistics. If you have a Blogger subscription, this function will be unavailable if the account is not listed on your Dashboard.

The Check another account button takes you back to the main page of the Verification module.
